I finally got the chance to see Split!

It was a tough ride trying to dodge all the theory posts that began to surface right after the movie's debut. But theories aside, let's talk about the movie!

Split follows 3 girls, Casey (Taylor-Joy), Claire (Richardson), and Marcia (Sula) who are abducted by Kevin (McAvoy), a man with 23 known personalities.

Throughout the movie you see each personality speak and act in their own completely unique way. Some of the personalities, eventually, begin hinting at a possible 24th personality. This is when the girls realize their escape time is limited.

But enough about the movie, did I like it?

As far as the horror genre goes, I didn't find it insanely terrifying, but it was certainly interesting and intense. (For those of you who don't know Shyamalan directed The Sixth Sense - which in my opinion was on the same boat.) On the other hand, Split fits into the Thriller genre perfectly because you never know what to expect next.

I think the story, as well as the script, were written carefully. Personally, I didn't spot any problems with the acting, but rather, I found it great. And it definitely isn't a slow movie; it did well keeping my attention the entire time.

Plus the end of the movie seemed to be setting up a second movie, but maybe I'm just being hopeful!
