Dead Air: Comedy, Punk Bands, and Horror???

By: Brittany Clauss

While scrolling through indie horror film related topics on Twitter, I came across Dead Air, a comedy horror film. What's even more interesting to me is that the upcoming movie is set to use puppets as their creatures - which is very creepy!

Their Kickstarter page has this to say about the film, "Set on a plane traveling to a final gig, Dead Air tells the story of Monster Kitten, an all-female punk rock band who end up on a flight with some nasty little creatures who like to bite and infect their victims to the point of all hell breaking loose at 30,000 feet.  With the help of their instruments, a tape recorder and a bottle of piss, the girls try to fend off the evil to get to play their final gig."

What more could you want? This has horror, comedy, creatures, and a female punk band all in one movie! It sounds amazing.

If you want to back a Kickstarter project/are interested in supporting indie films, I think this one is worth looking into.

Go check out the Dead Air page where you can:

  • read more about this film
  • learn the perks of backing it
  • meet the cast
  • check out the concept art for the creatures (I dare you.)
  • watch another short film by the director, Geoff Harmer, titled Selfie

What do you think of the film?
